A man was arrested on charges of murder after allegedly raping and killing his newborn daughter, police in California said, World Wide Weird Newsreports.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced that they arrested 30-year-old Matthew Brendan Warner of Newhall, in connection with the .s.e.xual abuse and murder of his 19-day-old daughter.
Deputy District Attorney Julie Kramer said that Warner faces one count each of murder, @.s.sault on a child causing death, torture, oral cop*l@tion or .s.e.xual penetration with a child 10 years or younger and aggravated .s.e.xual @.s.sault of a child.
The suspect will appear before the Department S of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, San Fernando Branch. According to the felony complaint, the murder and .s.e.xual @.s.sault happened on Friday.
Bail was set at $2.25 million. Warner faces a maximum penalty of life in state prison if convicted of all charges.
